Responsibilities
- Lead functional, regression, end-to-end, and User Acceptance Testing for complex software applications and business workflows.
- Define test strategies, approaches, scenarios, cases, test data, coverage, and quality standards.
- Design and maintain automated desktop GUI tests using Squish GUI Tester.
- Develop and maintain browser automation and Pytest-based frameworks using Playwright and Python.
- Integrate automated regression suites into CI/CD pipelines and support headless and parallel execution.
- Execute tests, analyze results and failures, document evidence, and manage defects through resolution.
- Conduct defect triage, verify fixes, and coordinate issue resolution with development and product teams.
- Support UAT, validate integrations, monitor quality metrics, and provide release-readiness recommendations.
- Review test and automation architecture, mentor QA engineers, and drive continuous improvement in testing practices.
Requirements
- 12–15 years of overall experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Strong experience with functional, regression, end-to-end, and enterprise application testing.
- Hands-on experience with Squish GUI Tester for desktop automation.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, preferably using Python, and Pytest framework development.
- Strong Python scripting skills and experience designing scalable automation frameworks with reusable abstractions, page-object patterns, configuration, logging, and reporting.
- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD and version-control workflows and diagnosing application, data, automation, and environment failures.
- Experience with defect and test management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, ALM, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting UAT, requirements traceability, risk-based testing, business workflow validation, and root cause analysis.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and communicating quality risks and release concerns.
- Preferred experience testing large-scale scientific, healthcare, engineering, or data-intensive applications; REST APIs, backend integrations, databases, SQL, Postman, accessibility, usability, performance, security, and regulated environments.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
