Responsibilities
- Design, build, and validate scalable backend solutions for the full debit card lifecycle.
- Modernize existing card systems into event-driven architecture and introduce cloud-native patterns.
- Integrate with third-party payment processors, 3D Secure systems, and MasterCard.
- Lead technical initiatives while ensuring card services remain reliable, secure, and performant.
- Collaborate with architecture, security, product, infrastructure, operations, and other engineering teams.
- Influence technical design and implementation through ownership, communication, and technical leadership.
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend development experience with Node.js; C# is a plus.
- 6+ years of experience with advanced SQL, including MSSQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- 4+ years of experience with NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB.
- Experience building SaaS platforms for cloud-based products, preferably on AWS.
- Experience with containers and Kubernetes, preferably EKS.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and message brokers such as RabbitMQ, SQS, or Kafka, preferably Kafka.
- Experience developing microservices and using AI tools to improve team velocity and quality.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Strong backend, cloud, architecture, ownership, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
