Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, document, decompose, allocate, and manage system, software, and feature requirements for BCM application programs.
- Create and maintain requirement specifications, use cases, functional scenarios, interface requirements, and bidirectional traceability matrices.
- Collaborate with OEM stakeholders, product owners, architects, function owners, software developers, validation teams, integration teams, and suppliers.
- Participate in requirement reviews, gap analysis, impact analysis, and change-request evaluation.
- Support verification and validation by clarifying requirements, reviewing test coverage, analyzing defects, and helping close requirement-related issues.
- Support requirements for BCM functions including exterior lighting, wipers, washers, central locking, power windows, mirrors, horns, and body access.
- Prepare requirement status updates, issue lists, review trackers, and technical clarifications for internal and customer discussions.
- Follow automotive engineering processes, ASPICE expectations, functional-safety inputs, configuration-management practices, and customer documentation standards.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience is required; the professional and technical profile specifies 5–6 years in automotive embedded software, requirements engineering, systems engineering, or ECU software development.
- Experience with requirements elicitation, authoring, analysis, decomposition, change management, and traceability for automotive ECU programs.
- Understanding of BCM functions, body electronics, vehicle networks, ECU interfaces, diagnostics, and the automotive software development lifecycle.
- Working knowledge of IBM DOORS, DOORS Next, Polarion, Codebeamer, JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent ALM tools.
- Experience preparing or updating system, software, functional, and interface specifications and requirement review records.
- Working knowledge of CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, UDS diagnostics, ECU communications, signal databases, and vehicle network behavior.
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR, embedded C, configuration management, defect lifecycles, integration, and validation processes is desirable.
- Basic exposure to ASPICE processes including SYS.1, SYS.2, SYS.3, SWE.1, traceability, reviews, baselining, and compliance evidence preparation.
- Awareness of ISO 26262 functional-safety processes, safety requirements, hazard-analysis inputs, and safety-impact assessment is advantageous.
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field, with 15 years of full-time education.
