Responsibilities
- Build responsive, accessible user interfaces with React and TypeScript.
- Translate Figma and Sketch designs into reusable components aligned with a design system.
- Design scalable front-end architecture covering routing, state management, component composition, and data fetching.
- Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs and implement authentication and authorization flows such as OAuth and OIDC.
- Develop unit, component, integration, and end-to-end tests and contribute to CI/CD quality gates.
- Improve bundle size, rendering performance, caching, error handling, monitoring, and client-side reliability.
- Apply secure front-end practices, including dependency hygiene and safe handling of user input.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, and QA teams through technical design, code review, and iterative delivery.
- Produce UI design notes, reusable components, automated test suites, accessibility and performance improvements, and production-readiness artifacts.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency with React and TypeScript, including functional components, hooks, and composition patterns.
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern styling approaches such as CSS Modules, CSS-in-JS, or Tailwind.
- Experience with state management and data-fetching tools or patterns such as Context, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, React Query, or SWR.
- Experience with Jest or Vitest, React Testing Library, and Cypress or Playwright.
- Production experience with Vite or Webpack and front-end performance techniques such as code splitting, bundle analysis, and lazy loading.
- Experience integrating REST or GraphQL APIs and handling asynchronous flows and client-side errors.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, automated tests, artifact builds, and environment promotion.
- Knowledge of accessibility fundamentals including semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, and ARIA.
- Typically 3–7+ years of front-end or UI engineering experience with meaningful ownership of production web applications.
- Preferred experience with design systems, component libraries, Storybook, token-based theming, Next.js, observability, secure front-end patterns, regulated environments, OpenAPI, and GraphQL schemas.
- Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, follow-through, and ability to work in distributed and matrixed teams.
