Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, resilient full-stack software across frontend, backend, APIs, data, cloud, and production operations.
- Lead solution and software design, architectural decisions, API contracts, integration patterns, and distributed-system design.
- Develop modern web applications, scalable backend services, microservices, APIs, and data access layers.
- Design cloud-native solutions using containerization, orchestration, Infrastructure as Code, and automated delivery capabilities.
- Establish automated testing across unit, component, integration, contract, API, and end-to-end layers.
- Build observability, reliability, resilience, telemetry, safe release, rollback, and monitoring capabilities into applications.
- Diagnose complex production problems, lead root-cause analysis, and address technical debt and systemic engineering issues.
- Lead technical design and code reviews, raise engineering standards, and mentor and coach engineers across teams.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on full-stack engineering capability and the ability to influence beyond a single squad.
- Experience developing scalable software with two or more languages such as Java, Golang, Python, Node.js/TypeScript, or C#.
- Experience with modern web applications and frontend frameworks such as React or Angular, plus frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience designing microservices, distributed systems, REST APIs, and appropriate synchronous, asynchronous, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong understanding of concurrency, scalability, fault tolerance, and distributed-system design.
- Strong experience working in AWS cloud environments and with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps, and deployment strategies including blue/green, canary, and progressive delivery.
- Experience implementing reliability capabilities, TDD, BDD, test automation, and comprehensive testing strategies.
- Experience with observability technologies such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
- Exposure to Generative AI, Large Language Models, and AI-assisted software engineering.
- Ability to select appropriate technologies, exercise broad technical judgment, and mentor engineers.
