Responsibilities
- Own architecture, design, development, deployment, and governance of workflow solutions.
- Design and implement Java, API, cloud-native, and microservices-based technology solutions.
- Provide technical oversight, solution design, mentoring, and assistance to engineering teams and business units.
- Define software and API architecture direction and technology roadmaps using AWS gateways.
- Build CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts supporting the deployment lifecycle of interconnected infrastructure components.
- Implement monitoring, telemetry, alerting, and appropriate cybersecurity controls.
- Support strategic business initiatives, technology uplift, workshops, sprint ceremonies, and iterative delivery.
- Promote engineering excellence, DevOps culture, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the engineering organization.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience architecting, designing, and developing platforms and complex workflow-based technical environments.
- Strong Java development experience and expertise in software and API architecture.
- Experience with microservices, cloud-native integration patterns, security zoning, compliant network flows, and multiple hosting patterns.
- Cloud knowledge covering AWS and familiarity with Azure, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS.
- Proficiency in data architecture and high-volume data ingestion, transformation, and consumption patterns using SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of AI model lifecycles, including training, deployment, and monitoring, with exposure to Azure AI, AWS SageMaker, or comparable services.
- Experience establishing telemetry, monitoring, and alerting using tools such as Observe, Obstack, and PagerDuty.
- Ability to build CI/CD pipelines using Git and automate infrastructure deployment workflows.
- Experience translating project vision into actionable plans, influencing stakeholders, challenging existing practices, and shaping technology direction.
- Knowledge of workflow platforms such as Pega or Appian is desirable; Agile and Scrum knowledge is preferred.
