Responsibilities
- Architect scalable, secure, maintainable, and interoperable analytical and customer-centric platforms integrating Salesforce, real-time and batch data pipelines, seller experiences, and ML models.
- Contribute approximately 40–60% hands-on to software development across the full lifecycle while leading architecture, technical strategy, cross-team alignment, and engineering quality.
- Drive complex and ambiguous technical problems across teams and domains to resolution and ensure end-to-end technology and customer-experience quality.
- Define technical standards, patterns, and reference architectures and establish metrics for AI impact, reliability, and safety in production.
- Design and implement evaluation, observability, and guardrail frameworks for responsible AI integrations, including multi-agent systems and LLM-based capabilities.
- Communicate technical strategy and trade-offs to senior product and business leaders and influence roadmap decisions.
- Coach and mentor Staff and senior engineers, grow AI engineering capabilities, and lead through influence across Sales, Partner, and CS Tech organizations.
- Evaluate emerging AI and data technologies and identify high-leverage opportunities to apply AI across the platform.
Requirements
- 12+ years of relevant experience building web, software, or data-intensive applications, with technical leadership at the Senior Staff level or above.
- Demonstrated ability to architect end-to-end analytical and customer-centric platform ecosystems at scale.
- Expert proficiency in at least one object-oriented language, specifically Java/J2EE or C#, and strong judgment in large distributed-system design.
- Hands-on experience designing and shipping AI/ML capabilities in production, ideally including LLM-based or agentic systems such as multi-agent orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt and context engineering, agent memory, evaluation, and guardrails.
- Ability to influence technical direction across teams and explain complex trade-offs to senior product and business leaders.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms and seller-facing experiences is a bonus.
- Experience with agent frameworks, model orchestration, vector search, or AI evaluation and observability tooling is a bonus.
- Knowledge of SQL in large-scale data warehouse or lakehouse environments such as Spark, Databricks, or Presto/Athena/Trino is a bonus.
- Hands-on data science or machine learning experience is a bonus.
- Familiarity with Tableau or Qlik Sense is a bonus.
- Deep experience with Big Data and cloud technologies, including AWS, GCP, Hive, Spark, Kafka, SQL, SparkSQL, Cassandra, Redshift, GraphDB, and Apache Iceberg, is a bonus.
