Responsibilities
- Own solution architecture for assigned domains or value streams, establishing guardrails and patterns aligned with enterprise architecture and Domain-Driven Design bounded contexts.
- Coach engineering teams to make their own solution design decisions and provide direct architectural involvement for significant initiatives and cross-domain complexity.
- Coordinate cross-domain solution designs and technical dependencies so initiatives result in coherent designs across teams.
- Advise domain and engineering leadership on target architecture, feasibility, simplification, technical debt, cost, sequencing, and structural blockers.
- Prepare engineering leaders and Staff Engineers for Architecture Advisory Forum participation and coordinate architecture reviews and decision submissions.
- Guide delivery teams during construction, maintain architecture documentation and ADRs, and ensure agreed solution direction remains visible and current.
- Provide domain input to application portfolios, technology radars, enterprise pattern libraries, and programme or portfolio sequencing.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in solution architecture or related architecture roles.
- At least 8 years of IT experience, including meaningful hands-on engineering experience earlier in the career.
- Deep hands-on solution architecture experience within a specific domain or value stream.
- Expert-level AWS knowledge across compute, data and storage, networking, identity, security, and the Well-Architected Framework.
- Strong knowledge of non-functional requirements including scalability, performance, observability, security, resilience, and disaster recovery.
- Practical experience with AI application patterns, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, agent orchestration, vector stores, embeddings, model selection, inference, LLMOps, responsible AI, and AI-specific security.
- Strong working knowledge of Domain-Driven Design, Team Topologies, and modern engineering ways of working.
- Experience leading solution design across teams, coaching teams toward architecture ownership, and working in or transitioning to a domain-based or value-stream operating model.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and commercial trade-offs, including cost, delivery sequencing, financial planning, and simplification opportunities.
- The candidate must have the right to work and live in India and be able to commute to the Bengaluru office.
