Responsibilities
- Build and maintain shared engine, platform, automation, and release systems.
- Design and ship features through reusable technical solutions with UFC and central technology teams.
- Improve performance, memory use, load times, stability, and development workflows.
- Own assigned systems from implementation through testing and delivery.
- Track technical KPIs and collaborate with franchise and central technology teams.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong C++ skills and experience with large, performance-sensitive codebases.
- Understanding of memory management, multithreading, runtime performance, and platform constraints.
- Experience with game engines or real-time systems.
- Experience delivering systems end to end.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as coding agents to prototype, accelerate execution, and automate workflows, with the ability to review and validate generated code.
Benefits
- Hybrid work model with three days per week at the EAV Studio in Burnaby, British Columbia.
- British Columbia base-pay range of $104,500 - $142,800 CAD.
- Three weeks of vacation per year to start and 10 days of sick time per year.
