Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and evolution of the RMM endpoint agent across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Design, build, and operate systems-level components using Rust and C/C++.
- Define interfaces and communication patterns between endpoint agents and distributed backend services.
- Build secure networking capabilities using TLS, gRPC, and MQTT.
- Improve agent performance, concurrency, resource usage, reliability, and operational visibility.
- Own critical components from technical design and implementation through deployment and production support.
- Lead design reviews, code reviews, and technical initiatives involving multiple engineers or teams.
- Mentor engineers and establish reusable patterns for cross-platform systems development.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including systems development using C, C++, or Rust.
- 2+ years of experience developing and operating production software using Rust.
- Experience building Windows systems software using Win32 APIs.
- Experience delivering cross-platform software across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Experience leading the design and delivery of concurrent, networked, or distributed systems involving multiple engineers or teams.
- Preferred: Linux systems development and POSIX APIs experience.
- Preferred: native macOS software development experience.
- Preferred: AWS services or cloud-connected endpoint platform experience.
- Preferred: TypeScript, Python, or similar supporting technology experience.
- Preferred: experience with RMM agents, endpoint management software, device-management platforms, or endpoint security products.
- Preferred: experience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, or codebase analysis.
