Responsibilities
- Develop and execute technology strategies for a modern digital media company.
- Define roadmaps across media production, content management, broadcast, streaming, and digital distribution.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, industry practices, modernization opportunities, and media technology impacts.
- Assess conceptual architecture, costs, affected teams, effort, dependencies, benefits, and opportunities to simplify technology stacks.
- Present architectural recommendations and transformation roadmaps to senior leadership.
- Engage internal teams, external partners, vendors, and industry organizations to evaluate platforms, capabilities, and trials.
- Prepare financial analyses covering multi-year technology costs and benefits.
- Build consensus and provide recommendations balancing innovation, scalability, reliability, interoperability, security, and maintainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in solution architecture.
- Professional experience in technology strategy, enterprise architecture, solution architecture, software engineering, or digital transformation.
- Ability to connect technology and media-industry changes with long-term business strategy.
- Deep understanding of the OTT video ecosystem and video services industry.
- Preferred expertise in video technology and experience architecting and implementing video or streaming solutions.
- Preferred experience developing AI/ML or generative AI strategies in a media environment.
- Preferred experience with AI/ML, generative AI, Big Data, analytics, cloud-based media processing and distribution, cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers, and distributed systems.
- Experience working across business, technology, engineering, and operational organizations.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, influencing, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
