Responsibilities
- Develop and execute technology strategies aligned with Bell MediaTV’s business direction.
- Define technology roadmaps across media production, content management, broadcast, streaming, and digital distribution.
- Evaluate modernization opportunities involving cloud, software-defined infrastructure, automation, data, and artificial intelligence.
- Present technical feasibility assessments, architectural recommendations, transformation roadmaps, costing, dependencies, and benefits to senior leadership.
- Assess opportunities to consolidate and simplify Bell MediaTV’s end-to-end technology stack.
- Engage internal teams, external partners, vendors, and industry partners to evaluate solution options and conduct trials.
- Prepare financial analyses for technology opportunities, including multi-year costs and benefits.
- Establish technology standards and best practices while balancing scalability, reliability, interoperability, security, and maintainability.
- Build consensus across organizations with different operational requirements and technology environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent degree or experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in solution architecture.
- Professional experience in technology strategy, enterprise architecture, solution architecture, software engineering, or digital transformation.
- Ability to connect technology and media-industry changes with long-term business strategy.
- Deep understanding of the OTT video ecosystem and video services industry.
- Preferred expertise in video technology through advanced education or work experience.
- Preferred experience developing AI/ML or generative AI strategies and using AI in media operations.
- Preferred experience with video and streaming solutions, Adtech, AI/ML, generative AI, Big Data, and analytics technologies.
- Preferred experience with cloud-based media processing and distribution architectures, cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers, and distributed systems.
- Strong communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation, and stakeholder-influence skills.
- Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
