Base Salary
$168k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own team-level architecture and design guidance for security response systems.
- Lead projects requiring coordinated work across multiple engineers and remain accountable for system design.
- Clarify technology strategy and make trade-offs between short-term delivery and long-term maintainability.
- Review the operational health and security coverage of large-scale detection and response systems and address service degradation.
- Make technical design decisions that meet reliability, scalability, and security requirements.
- Work with customers and technical stakeholders to understand pain points and requirements.
- Mentor engineers and help maintain a high operational and delivery standard.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
- Preferred: 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, or managing software engineering teams.
- Preferred: experience building highly available software with AWS services and distributed architecture.
- Preferred: experience with React, TypeScript, Java, Python, and integrations with multiple systems.
- Preferred: familiarity with scalable systems integrating generative AI technologies and security operations or related domains.
- Preferred: experience communicating requirements, product features, technical designs, and product strategy to users, technical teams, and senior leadership.
