Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies.
- Build and deploy AI-powered proprietary risk management solutions with GRC partners and teams across Capital One.
- Develop data pipelines, distributed systems, real-time streaming applications, and cloud-based data warehouse solutions.
- Use Java, Scala, Python, SQL, relational and NoSQL databases, Redshift, and Snowflake.
- Collaborate with Agile engineering teams, developers, machine learning specialists, and digital product managers.
- Perform unit testing, code reviews, performance tuning, and production support.
- Mentor other members of the engineering community and participate in technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 4 years of application development experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with big data technologies.
- At least 1 year of cloud computing experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Preferred: 7+ years working with data pipelines and Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
- Preferred: 4+ years with public cloud, distributed data/computing tools, real-time data and streaming applications, NoSQL, data warehousing, and UNIX/Linux.
- Preferred: 2+ years with Agile engineering practices.
- Experience using interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion is preferred.
