Base Salary
$188k - $259k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, maintain, and scale backend services, APIs, and platform infrastructure.
- Design and operate high-volume data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and analytics.
- Build and maintain reliable integrations with third-party vendors and mission-critical providers.
- Contribute to AI agent harness selection, prompt optimization, evaluation systems, and agent experiences.
- Shape backend architecture, coding standards, testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and operational excellence.
- Support DevOps, troubleshooting, and other platform needs as required.
Requirements
- 8+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Experience with high-velocity agentic coding under strict security requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong expertise with Node.js/TypeScript, Go, Python, or similar backend languages and frameworks.
- Experience designing scalable distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Deep experience with third-party integrations, REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and rate-limited services.
- Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases, data pipelines, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with testing, CI/CD, and observability practices.
- Preferred experience includes early-stage startup delivery, analytics, payments, notifications, workflow orchestration, serverless or edge architectures, SaaS integrations, and scaling MVPs into production-ready services.
