Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and execute major algorithmic or MATLAB modules, flows, or packages within project budgets and schedules.
- Own algorithmic concept and feasibility work, including problem analysis, data gathering, literature review, concept evaluation, and implementation constraints.
- Design, document, implement, integrate, and test algorithmic solutions.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to identify gaps, collect data, and plan integration, testing, and proliferation activities.
- Evaluate new and competitor technologies and provide technical leadership for algorithmic investigations.
- Lead highly visible multidisciplinary projects or initiatives and mentor less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- Recognized expertise or external-guru-level knowledge in the relevant function and broad expertise in leading-edge theories, techniques, or technologies.
- A proven record of significant technology contributions and innovative problem solving.
- Ability to influence internal and external business or regulatory issues and negotiate with senior management, customers, regulators, or vendors.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, judge technical approaches, and validate technical strategies.
