Base Salary
$140k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and own services across ZoomInfo’s 20-plus-microservice Backstage platform using TypeScript and Node.js.
- Develop REST and GraphQL APIs consumed by other services and the Backstage frontend.
- Own the Backstage catalog and ingestion pipeline synchronizing entities from Helm, ArgoCD, GCP, and GitHub.
- Extend the platform with engineering maturity scoring, change management workflows, AI-generated reports, and test management tooling.
- Develop LLM-powered services and MCP servers that expose catalog and engineering data to people and AI agents.
- Operate services on GKE using ArgoCD GitOps, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Datadog, including incident response and runbook ownership.
- Partner with engineering, governance, architecture, and infrastructure teams on catalog models, golden paths, and self-service tooling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least five years of software engineering experience with internal developer platforms or platform/infrastructure tooling.
- Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js with strong software architecture fundamentals.
- Production experience designing and shipping REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Hands-on experience building or extending Backstage, including plugin development, catalog models, software templates, and TechDocs.
- Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL and Redis; MongoDB familiarity is preferred.
- Experience with Kubernetes, GKE, and GCP for deployment, scaling, and production troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with ArgoCD, Helm, and GitHub Actions.
- Working proficiency with Terraform for cloud infrastructure management.
- Practical experience integrating LLMs into production services and familiarity with MCP or agentic AI patterns.
