Responsibilities
- Break larger backend projects into tasks, deliver them in phases, and collaborate with teammates to ensure timely delivery.
- Design, develop, and launch backend systems that validate consumer identity and support regulatory protocols such as KYC.
- Collaborate with product management, design, analytics, compliance, authentication, fraud, and engineering teams on product development and technical trade-offs.
- Create and monitor metrics, escalate issues when needed, and support system availability, maintenance, and on-call efforts.
- Navigate large codebases, debug code, write tested and extensible software, conduct code reviews, and participate in interview and team development activities.
Requirements
- At least 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to translate business scenarios into solutions spanning multiple software components and write clear, well-tested, extensible code.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ownership of professional growth.
- Either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
