Responsibilities

Research, design, define, develop, test, document, and implement new or modified computer applications.
Install software packages and personal computer software and ensure hardware and software operate efficiently.
Analyze processing problems and develop effective solutions in collaboration with IT and business associates.
Advise business unit associates on existing or proposed systems and communicate technical information clearly.
Provide training and mentoring to programming staff, systems managers, business management, and associates.
Participate in developmental projects, large-scale improvement projects, and internal IT technical committees, potentially chairing committees or subcommittees.
Manage multiple assignments and deadlines with minimal supervision and provide regular updates to management.

Bachelor's degree or commensurate selection-criteria experience is required.
Significant programming experience covering research, design, requirements gathering, business-unit collaboration, development, testing, documentation, and production support is required.
Experience advising programming associates on technical and application-related topics is required.
Demonstrated teamwork, motivation of coworkers, analytical problem-solving, decision-making, documentation, and strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Experience working under multiple deadlines with minimal supervision is required.
Proficiency in programming languages required by the individual business unit is required.
Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications is required.
Ability to perform continuous computer work, read and interpret paper and electronic documents, prepare prescribed written formats, and communicate accurately is required.
