
Lead .NET Engineer with Agentic Development

Responsibilities
- Own backend architecture and technical direction for FX Payments across multiple squads.
- Design, build, modernize, and support scalable full-stack solutions using C#/.NET, React/TypeScript, and Azure cloud-native services.
- Lead complex technical initiatives across the full software development lifecycle, from refinement and design through deployment and production support.
- Drive improvements in system performance, reliability, observability, data integrity, resiliency, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct design reviews, architectural deep dives, code reviews, and maintain architecture documentation and ADRs.
- Ensure strong automated testing, CI/CD hygiene, technical risk management, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
- Mentor backend engineers on system design, clean coding, cloud-native patterns, distributed systems, and responsible agentic tooling.
- Lead through technical influence, facilitate architecture discussions, and contribute to engineering standards and reusable backend patterns.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
- Deep expertise in C# and .NET and extensive experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, messaging, and distributed systems.
- Experience with scalable design patterns, clean architecture, SOLID principles, relational and/or NoSQL databases, Git, CI/CD, and cloud-native development.
- Extensive Azure experience, including App Services, Functions, Kubernetes, and containerized workloads.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, observability tooling, frontend development, React, and related tooling.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Copilot Workspace, including validating AI-generated backend code.
- Experience leading small engineering teams and technical initiatives without direct people management.
- Strong collaboration, stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, planning, and technical risk assessment skills.
- Minimum bachelor's degree in information technology or a software engineering discipline.
