Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers working on the product roadmap while contributing hands-on to feature development.
- Oversee software architecture, source control workflows, CI/CD processes, and code reviews.
- Improve developer experience, code quality, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
- Own architecture and design decisions for the service area.
- Own service stability and performance and help ship stable software on schedule.
- Contribute to the long-term technical vision and strategy.
- Mentor software engineers and troubleshoot technically complex problems.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a technical lead role designing and building complex backend systems.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Deep knowledge of backend programming languages such as Python or Node.js and web application frameworks such as Django or Express.js.
- Experience building web services with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Proficiency with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
- Extensive experience with Linux/UNIX production environments.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, coding patterns, code quality, reliability, performance, and business-oriented technical trade-offs.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and continuous-improvement skills.
- An engineering degree is required; B.E. in Computer Science is preferred.
