Base Salary
$185k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design a high-performance rendering architecture for interactive high-density geospatial visualization and precision editing
- Define spatial editing interactions including easing curves, snapping behavior, cursor states, and loading transitions
- Optimize partial GPU buffer updates and custom shaders for sub-millisecond input latency during vertex manipulation
- Develop real-time 3D line-of-sight analysis, signal-strength heatmaps, and AI-driven hardware placement suggestions
- Own the client-side CRDT architecture, including the document model, local persistence, presence, and conflict resolution
- Architect and build a spatial platform supporting 8+ product lines
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building complex customer-facing web applications or high-performance graphics engines
- Computer Science or related degree with strong knowledge of data structures, memory management, and linear algebra
- Expertise in JavaScript fundamentals and React, including common state and data libraries such as React Query and Zustand
- Understanding of coordinate system conversions, geospatial projections, and 3D geometry
- Ability to deliver pixel-perfect interactions and partner closely with Design on production-grade experiences
- Preferred experience with Deck.gl, MapLibre, Three.js, raw WebGL, or WebGPU
- Preferred experience with real-time synchronization architectures such as Yjs, Automerge, or Operational Transforms
- Preferred proficiency with high-performance 2D/3D graphics, Canvas API, low-level buffer management, or custom shaders
- Preferred familiarity with PostGIS, vector tiling using MVT, and GIS workflows
