Base Salary
$143k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance Golang backend services for ML and AI platform use cases.
- Develop production REST and gRPC APIs for inference, processing pipelines, orchestration, and platform services.
- Build and operate video, image, and document processing pipelines and integrate ML inference services into backend workflows.
- Develop LLM-enabled services, agentic workflows, tool integrations, and MCP servers with appropriate security, access control, and observability.
- Design and maintain Milvus-based vector retrieval, embedding ingestion, indexing, and query pipelines.
- Deploy and operate services on Kubernetes, provision infrastructure with Terraform, and build on AWS.
- Implement observability, SLOs, alerts, automated tests, CI/CD contributions, and participate in on-call and incident response.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong backend engineering experience with Golang and production experience building REST and/or gRPC APIs.
- Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS cloud services.
- Experience building or supporting ML processing pipelines for video, image, or document workloads.
- Practical experience using LLMs in production systems and developing agents, MCP servers, or equivalent tool-integration platforms.
- Preferred qualifications include Milvus or other vector database experience, GPU-backed workload and ML inference optimization experience, Kafka/SQS/SNS or similar messaging experience, secure AI platform design knowledge, and experience with internal developer platforms or ML infrastructure teams.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred, with consideration also given to combinations of coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience.
