Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new leads and nurture relationships with existing and prospective utility customers.
- Provide technical expertise, recommendations, GridOS DERMS overviews, and product demonstrations during pre-sales engagements.
- Analyze customer technical, process, policy, and regulatory challenges and identify appropriate GridOS DERMS use cases and solutions.
- Translate customer requirements, trends, issues, and feedback into inputs for Product Management, including user stories, capabilities, requirements, and roadmap considerations.
- Define and assess value-added technology-enabled services using the GridOS DERMS Platform.
- Provide technical input for proposals, RFPs, RFQs, and government programs in partnership with Account Managers and the Proposal Manager.
- Develop and maintain customer-ready presentations for pre-sales engagements and contribute technical content to marketing campaigns and events.
- Communicate customer insights, product bugs, and quality defects to Account Management, Product Management, and Research and Development teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field with a focus on Power Systems.
- Minimum 5+ years of utility-industry knowledge and experience combining technical sales and technical writing in the energy market.
- Strong familiarity with energy-industry trends, regulations, DER management, microgrids, distribution planning, SCADA, and asset management.
- Knowledge of Distributed Energy Resources, IEEE 1547, IEEE 2030.5 (SEP2), OpenADR, and utility-to-DER integration technologies is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with DER aggregation, virtual power plants, demand response programs, inverter-based resources, and DER integration use cases is an asset.
- Ability to manage client relationships, articulate the strategic and technical value of the GridOS DERMS platform, and communicate with technical, non-technical, and C-suite audiences.
- Strong written and oral communication, collaboration, independent research, and deadline-management skills.
