Base Salary
$174k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain reliable sandbox environments for Cloud Run, Google App Engine, and Cloud Functions.
- Improve virtual machine interfaces for storage, networking, memory management, and process interactions.
- Use C++ and Go systems-programming principles to optimize code paths and implement core execution features.
- Debug system issues, identify root causes, and build resilient solutions.
- Modernize and converge platform capabilities across the Google Cloud Serverless portfolio.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, focused on C++, Go, or Java.
- At least 3 years of experience with large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- At least 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and at least 1 year of software design and architecture experience in production.
- Experience with low-level systems programming on Linux or other Unix-like operating systems.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree or PhD, performance optimization and memory-management experience, technical leadership, accessible-technology development, virtualization, Docker, Kubernetes, and operating-system or storage-internals troubleshooting.
Benefits
- US base pay is $174000 - $252000, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
