Responsibilities
- Build and operate enterprise-scale machine learning platforms on Azure.
- Own feature engineering, data processing, ML pipeline development, model deployment, monitoring, drift detection, and retraining workflows.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines with automated model validation, promotion gates, and deployment strategies such as blue-green, canary, and shadow deployments.
- Deploy batch and real-time models using Azure Machine Learning, Databricks Model Serving, or AKS.
- Create and maintain Docker-based deployments and Kubernetes manifests, including Deployments, Services, HPA, resource limits, ConfigMaps, and Secrets.
- Implement model and data monitoring, including prediction drift, data drift, feedback loops, and performance decay tracking.
- Provision ML infrastructure using Terraform or Bicep and support governance, lineage, access control, secrets management, and cost optimization.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience across Data Engineering, Machine Learning, and MLOps, with 4–5 years focused on production ML platform or infrastructure work.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Azure Databricks, PySpark or Spark internals, Delta Lake, medallion architecture, feature engineering pipelines, and Databricks Workflows or Jobs.
- Strong experience with GitHub branching strategies, pull request reviews, collaborative repositories, and GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps YAML pipelines.
- Experience with MLflow experiment tracking, model registries, model versioning, promotion workflows, reproducibility, environment pinning, and data versioning.
- Strong Docker skills and the ability to author Kubernetes manifests from scratch.
- Experience with data drift and prediction drift detection using PSI, KS-tests, Evidently AI, Azure Monitor, or equivalent tooling.
- Working knowledge of Terraform or Bicep and Azure services including Azure Machine Learning, Azure Data Factory, AKS, Azure DevOps, Azure Storage, Entra ID, and RBAC.
- Preferred experience with Databricks Feature Store, Unity Catalog, governance and lineage, model cards, audit trails, Key Vault, PII handling, and ML compute cost optimization.
