Base Salary

$171k - $214k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement scalable data systems, storage solutions, and processing frameworks.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in distributed systems and data technologies.
  • Operate and scale containerized applications and large-scale data platforms in production.
  • Drive technical innovation and research into emerging data technologies and best practices.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Mentor and coach engineers while fostering technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Influence technical roadmaps and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of software development experience focused on data infrastructure.
  • Proven experience architecting and delivering complex, large-scale data projects.
  • Strong expertise with Kafka, ClickHouse, Spark, and distributed computing systems.
  • Strong expertise orchestrating, scaling, and managing production containerized applications using Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.
  • Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale data platforms on cloud systems such as AWS.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, Bash, and Go.
  • Proven leadership experience mentoring and developing engineers.
  • Desired qualifications include knowledge of authorization and authentication systems, networking and network security, and deep experience architecting, tuning, and operating ClickHouse at scale.
