Responsibilities
- Design, build, roll out, and maintain Playwright automation frameworks using TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Test APIs, microservice-based systems, responsive web behavior, and mobile-web experiences.
- Use BDD collaboratively with analysts, developers, and clients.
- Diagnose flaky and intermittent failures and identify root causes.
- Use and help define AI-assisted and agent-driven testing practices, including prompts, instruction files, and review gates.
- Coach colleagues, share QA practices, and communicate quality risks and technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of test automation experience, including 2+ years of hands-on Playwright with TypeScript or JavaScript in production.
- Strong knowledge of Playwright fixtures, locator strategies, auto-waiting, network interception and mocking, trace debugging, and parallel execution.
- Experience with responsive and mobile-web testing, including device emulation, viewports, touch, and cross-browser testing.
- Proven experience defining and implementing test automation framework architecture.
- Experience with API automation, microservices testing, HTTP, and network inspection tools.
- CI/CD experience with a major pipeline tool and practical BDD experience in an Agile team.
- Demonstrated ability to generate and critically evaluate AI-assisted tests.
- Preferred qualifications include native iOS or Android automation with Appium or WebdriverIO, another automation stack such as Selenium, AI agent workflows, performance or cloud testing, and mentoring or technical speaking and writing experience.
