Responsibilities
- Design and maintain AutoSys scheduling solutions for complex enterprise batch workflows.
- Develop and enhance applications using Unix/Linux shell scripting and SQL-based processing.
- Translate business requirements into scalable solutions aligned with architecture and software development standards.
- Build and manage job dependencies, workflow orchestration, scheduling logic, and SLA-focused batch execution.
- Perform unit, component, and integration testing, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Monitor batch execution, job performance, and system health metrics.
- Support environment configuration, tuning, production support, incident troubleshooting, and system stabilization.
- Perform root-cause analysis and issue resolution for moderately complex tasks.
- Drive improvements in automation, efficiency, system performance, and batch-processing capabilities.
- Collaborate with solution designers, architects, developers, business and data analysts, and infrastructure teams.
- Contribute documentation, knowledge sharing, and subject-matter expertise in AutoSys and batch processing.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in application or system development and batch-processing environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise with AutoSys job scheduling, including development, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Strong proficiency in Unix/Linux, shell scripting, SQL, and database technologies.
- Experience with enterprise-scale batch processing environments and complex job dependencies.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, debugging, and code-quality practices.
- Ability to perform root-cause analysis, resolve issues, and work independently on moderately complex tasks.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Preferred experience supporting mission-critical, high-availability, or regulatory-driven systems.
- Preferred exposure to production-support and incident-management frameworks, DevOps tools, and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub.
- Experience in large financial institutions or regulated environments is preferred.
