Base Salary
$141k - $282k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect data-flow pipelines and APIs for map fusion, real-time map vectorization, and behavior and motion planning.
- Integrate offline HD maps with online perception data to create a unified local environment model.
- Implement and optimize DETR-style, query-based BEV networks for online map-element generation.
- Design, implement, and validate motion-planning algorithms and trajectory optimization feedback loops.
- Own the deployment pipeline for deep-learning mapping models from Python training and ONNX optimization to efficient C++ runtime execution.
- Develop real-time map anomaly and scene-change detection algorithms.
- Optimize latency, CPU and GPU memory footprint, and multithreaded execution of safety-critical C++ modules.
Requirements
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience for the Software Engineer position or 5+ years for the Senior Software Engineer position in autonomous driving, robotics architecture, or spatial computing.
- Expert proficiency in production-grade Modern C++14/17/20, including multithreading and memory management.
- Strong prototyping proficiency in Python.
- Foundational knowledge of path planning and kinematic and dynamic vehicle models.
- Deep understanding of robotics fundamentals, including coordinate transformations, spatial geometry, and state estimation.
- Strong system design skills and understanding of ROS2, DDS, and distributed software architectures.
- Preferred experience with numerical trajectory optimization, optimization solvers, HD map formats, deep-learning deployment through ONNX and TensorRT, map anomaly detection, RTOS, deterministic execution, and safety-critical software design.
