Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to a small team of developers.
- Own technical direction and architecture decisions for custom software applications.
- Develop and maintain .NET/C# desktop applications for civil design software.
- Enhance existing systems, conduct code reviews, establish coding standards, and resolve bugs with hot fixes.
- Collaborate with business partners and team members to define project requirements and enhancements.
- Plan and prioritize team workload while balancing deadlines and technical quality.
- Guide adoption of new development technologies and drive Agile software delivery practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience, including prior experience leading or mentoring developers.
- Proficiency in .NET/C# with an emphasis on desktop development.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects from design through delivery.
- Proficiency with Visual Studio, VS Code, Azure DevOps, and Git.
- Experience with SQL Server or Oracle, including stored procedures, database tuning, and performance optimization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, leadership, team-building, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Preferred experience with Blazor, C++, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and civil engineering software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and ESRI ArcGIS.
- Ability to learn new concepts and the basics of the civil engineering industry.
