Responsibilities
- Architect and build complex user-facing features across DeepL’s translation products.
- Develop interactive translation interfaces and supporting backend logic for complex document formats while preserving formatting.
- Build enterprise localization and collaboration workflows that retain a consumer-grade user experience.
- Make technical decisions involving state management, API integrations, performance, document states, and terminology rules.
- Prototype, measure user friction, profile bottlenecks, and iterate quickly on product experiences.
- Collaborate with Research, Product, and Design teams to translate AI constraints into intuitive UX and product metrics.
Requirements
- Strong front-end engineering experience building highly interactive and performant interfaces in React.
- Full-stack fluency with the ability to design supporting backend logic in Python and C#/.NET Core.
- Product-first mindset focused on user adoption, reduced friction, and business impact.
- Ability to work independently, unblock technical issues, and make decisions in ambiguous environments.
- Understanding of UI/UX systems, large document states, complex terminology rules, and browser performance.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, business, research, product, and design functions.
