Responsibilities
- Create cost management features such as forecasts, anomaly alerts, and cost allocations.
- Develop reusable and robust UI components for the cost exploration experience.
- Build data visualization capabilities for performance, query timing, and efficiency.
- Build data pipelines and dbt models to surface user insights and opportunities.
- Improve application reliability and performance.
- Own features end to end from design and planning through implementation, testing, and delivery.
- Collaborate with founders and engineers and contribute to product roadmaps and software design.
- Make pragmatic, customer-focused trade-offs and communicate decisions through proposals, documentation, and clear commit messages.
Requirements
- Experienced software engineer with backend and data engineering skills.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Python.
- Experience with system design.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Able to work independently and effectively in a flexible, fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment.
- Preferred experience with FinOps, cloud infrastructure cost management, data warehouse management, observability, or early-stage startup environments.
- Bonus experience with FastAPI, Postgres, dbt, Dagster, or Snowflake.
