Responsibilities
- Lead the design and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, environment strategies, and release automation.
- Build and operate cloud-native infrastructure and runtime platforms for backend services, APIs, UI applications, integrations, and AI workloads.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code, environment provisioning, secrets management, access control, deployment consistency, and rollback strategies.
- Support containerized services, microservices, web applications, event-driven systems, and AI-enabled application components.
- Implement observability through logs, traces, metrics, dashboards, alerts, distributed tracing, and cost or capacity signals.
- Enable AI and ML workloads through deployment environments, model-serving patterns, runtime monitoring, cost visibility, and release controls.
- Drive operational readiness through runbooks, deployment validation, incident response, root-cause analysis, and post-incident improvements.
- Standardize build automation, release quality, environment hygiene, dependency control, and operational support practices.
- Collaborate with software engineering, AI, security, architecture, and platform teams to improve reliability, compliance, scalability, and supportability.
- Mentor engineers and contribute reusable platform accelerators, infrastructure modules, DevOps templates, dashboards, and engineering enablement tools.
Requirements
- 6 to 8+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, cloud engineering, or software engineering, including hands-on production operations in enterprise environments.
- Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native deployment platforms, containerized workloads, infrastructure automation, and release engineering frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Bicep, Docker, Kubernetes or AKS, Azure Container Registry, Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps, or equivalent platforms.
- Understanding of backend APIs, event-driven services, authentication flows, runtime dependencies, deployment pipelines, and production support models.
- Practical experience with React-based frontends, Node.js services, Python backend APIs, REST services, microservices, containerized applications, and modern web deployment architectures.
- Experience with observability, logging, tracing, and diagnostics using tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, OpenTelemetry, Log Analytics, Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, or Prometheus.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, secrets and identity management, environment standardization, deployment controls, rollback strategies, and operational governance.
- Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Studio, PromptFlow, Azure Machine Learning, or equivalent AI and ML platforms from a deployment and operations perspective.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, test automation, release quality, incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous reliability improvement.
- Strong communication, mentoring, technical leadership, automation, and cross-team influence skills.
- Preferred experience supporting AI, GenAI, or agentic AI products; LLM-powered services; agent orchestration; vector-enabled retrieval; API-integrated AI systems; or Model Context Protocol.
- Preferred familiarity with asynchronous workflows, long-running agents, SAP, ServiceNow, API gateways, workflow platforms, event-driven enterprise systems, FinOps, capacity planning, caching, request tracing, and runtime diagnostics.
- Preferred experience contributing reusable IaC modules, DevOps templates, shared dashboards, internal engineering toolkits, or platform accelerators.
- Preferred experience in build-own-operate product organizations with long-term supportability and operational excellence responsibilities.
