Responsibilities
- Own test strategy, planning, execution, and quality sign-off for SonicOS components.
- Architect, develop, and maintain automation frameworks, pipelines, and test tools.
- Drive automation-first regression testing and improve test coverage.
- Perform complex system, integration, upgrade, and downgrade testing.
- Collaborate with development and product management teams in design reviews, scrums, and defect triage.
- Lead root-cause analysis and validation of critical customer issues.
- Mentor engineers and review test plans, automation designs, and coverage.
- Drive release readiness, escape analysis, and quality metrics.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of QA and automation experience.
- Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, routing, NAT, VLANs, and firewall policies.
- Firewall and security testing experience covering VPN, DPI/App Control, IPS, Gateway AV, Geo-IP, and Botnet capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, PyTest, or Robot Framework.
- Programming experience with Python or JavaScript for framework and tool development.
- Experience with Linux/Unix, log and core-dump debugging, and packet capture using tcpdump or Wireshark.
- Experience integrating tests with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins and Git-based pipelines.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA.
- Exposure to effective use of AI tools.
- B.E., B.Tech, or M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Preferred experience with signature-based services, live update pipelines, AWS or Azure test environments, and customer escalation or field issue reproduction.
- Strong technical leadership, ownership, decision-making, debugging, communication, and cross-team quality leadership skills.
