Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical software lead for PODS and MBSE programs across the Performance and Operability Department.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives, including MBSE collaboration with CDA.
- Own system and software architecture and long-term technical direction.
- Define and enforce software design patterns, coding standards, and best practices.
- Drive scalability, reliability, and security considerations in architecture.
- Create and implement automated testing strategies.
- Drive configuration management, version-control practices, and data communication between software tools.
- Lead a global engineering team across the USA, Puerto Rico, and India.
- Mentor engineers, teach object-oriented programming, and promote technical growth.
- Review and approve software requirements and perform requirements analysis and decomposition.
- Travel domestically and internationally approximately 20%.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- 15 years of experience with turbine engine Performance Modeling and Analysis.
- U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, lawfully admitted refugee or asylee, or able to obtain required export authorization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a similar engineering discipline is valued.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- Expert understanding of gas turbine engine thermodynamics and physics is valued.
- Expertise in turbomachine concept modeling, development, and trade studies is valued.
- Technical leadership, mentoring, communication, collaboration, initiative, adaptability, and ability to manage complex tasks are valued.
