Responsibilities
- Develop core rendering features, engine components, and tools.
- Research and implement real-time rendering techniques.
- Create reusable and flexible rendering technologies.
- Write technical design specifications.
- Design, maintain, implement, test, and debug rendering code, pipelines, and related components.
- Profile and optimize rendering modules in a game engine.
- Stay current with hardware, software, and computer graphics advances.
- Investigate and optimize low-level game engine code across multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and other engineers to improve visual quality and create immersive game experiences.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with C++ development.
- Experience working on or creating real-time rendering engines.
- Experience with modern graphics APIs such as DirectX 12, Vulkan, or Metal.
- Experience developing rendering techniques and implementing technical white papers.
- Strong mathematics skills, including trigonometry, calculus, and linear algebra.
- Experience with one or more of PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, or Xbox Series S/X.
- Excellent debugging and multithreading skills.
- Experience with graphics performance analysis, optimization, and tools such as PIX, RenderDoc, or Razor.
- Experience with art and content pipelines and workflows.
- Understanding of memory management, multiprocessor use, and runtime optimization.
- Ability to communicate effectively in an open, feedback-oriented working environment.
- Desire to improve visual quality in collaboration with art and design teams.

- British Columbia compensation range of $122,300–$170,700 CAD.
