Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and support product commitments, MVP milestones, and software delivery.
  • Develop and integrate complex software components into fully functional software systems.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations.
  • Track software team and product conformance to project plans and industry standards.
  • Estimate user stories and tasks, participate in sprint planning and backlog refinement, and update task status and remaining effort.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure code and acceptance tests reflect desired functionality.
  • Identify and communicate impediments, risks, change impacts, timelines, and technical feasibility.
  • Develop working software toward committed Team PI Objectives and Iteration plans.
  • Design and evolve systems for testability and test automation while delivering software to expected quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, or a directly related equivalent qualification; alternatively, a master’s degree in a related field is acceptable.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of software development experience or master’s degree with 7+ years of experience.
  • Strong full-stack development experience with Java 8+, Spring Boot 3.x, Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
  • Hands-on experience with message brokers, including Kafka or RabbitMQ, for asynchronous workflows and event-driven integrations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, and build and deployment tools.
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests with tools such as Jest, and debugging JavaScript with browser developer tools or Mocha.
  • Experience with Git, web APIs, asynchronous programming, Maven, Gradle, and shell scripting.
  • Preferred experience includes Microsoft DevOps, CI/CD, configuration management, metrics and monitoring, virtualization, cloud computing, Angular or React Native, mobile UI/UX, JavaScript, Python, and aviation software.
  • Strong communication, leadership, analytical, creative problem-solving, organizational, and delivery skills are required.
