Responsibilities
- Support application infrastructure for performance and reliability.
- Build and maintain infrastructure for cloud environments and applications.
- Use Azure resources to implement scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient services.
- Guide critical projects and solve complex infrastructure problems using subject matter expertise.
- Perform and automate system administration, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and disaster recovery.
- Identify operating system configuration issues and virtual hardware bottlenecks.
- Build automation, auditing, and tooling for security, compliance, and resource usage.
- Monitor and improve deployment processes.
- Establish and maintain business-focused operational excellence KPIs.
- Build environments from the ground up across Windows, Linux, SQL, Redis, and WebApps.
- Create pipelines and automate SaaS solutions in Azure.
- Build and optimize cloud-based networks, including VNets and App Gateways.
Requirements
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills across multiple disciplines.
- A solid foundation in IT or Software Engineering.
- Experience creating pipelines and automating SaaS solutions in Azure.
- Strong automation skills with scripting languages, Terraform, ARM, or similar tools.
- Experience building and optimizing cloud-based networks, including VNets and App Gateways.
- Experience integrating third-party tools such as SonarCloud.
- Experience building environments from the ground up across Windows, Linux, SQL, Redis, and WebApps.
- Experience with containerization.
- Preferred: Kubernetes or other orchestration tools.
- Preferred: Azure API Management or similar technologies.
- Preferred: NewRelic scripted monitors.
- Preferred: security tools including CheckPoint and security best practices.
- Preferred: Hadoop, Kafka, Presto, or similar business intelligence and big data technologies.
