Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications and APIs.
- Build secure RESTful and microservices-based architectures.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, and product teams to deliver features end to end.
- Write clean, efficient, reusable code and participate in code reviews and design discussions.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Develop and manage database schemas, queries, and integrations.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms.
- Participate in sprint planning and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
- Adopt AI-assisted development tools and practices to improve productivity and code quality.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in backend development.
- Strong proficiency in at least one backend language and framework combination: Java with Spring Boot, Node.js, Python with Django or Flask, or .NET Core.
- Experience building APIs and web services, with knowledge of object-oriented and/or functional programming.
- Hands-on experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL and MongoDB or Redis, including data modeling and query optimization.
- Understanding of microservices architecture, API security, asynchronous processing, messaging systems, caching strategies, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with Git, with basic knowledge of Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Exposure to GraphQL APIs and monitoring tools such as New Relic or Prometheus is preferred.
- Familiarity with test-driven development is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, ownership, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to work in an Agile environment.
