Responsibilities
- Design modern, modular, AI-optimized software systems and guide engineering teams across the full solution lifecycle.
- Drive decisions on system decomposition, modularity, interoperability, domain boundaries, event architecture, and architectural governance.
- Use Java, Spring Boot, Spring Modulith, jMolecule, and ArchUnit to build modular, testable enterprise services and enforce architectural rules.
- Design cloud-native systems and data platforms using relational, document, search, vector, object-storage, and event or streaming data technologies.
- Define database architecture practices covering schema design, query tuning, indexing, partitioning, replication, high availability, disaster recovery, data residency, consistency, and backup and restore.
- Develop AI-assisted engineering workflows involving prompt engineering, spec-driven development, AI agents, MCP-compatible tooling, documentation, code generation, refactoring, and design review.
- Apply vector databases and RAG patterns, including embeddings, chunking, indexing, retrieval, and grounding AI outputs in enterprise data.
- Mentor and upskill engineers, lead improvement initiatives, champion modern engineering practices, and share expertise through forums and workshops.
- Balance innovation with security, resilience, auditability, and risk control while building Capital Markets domain understanding.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a software developer and as a senior hands-on architect.
- Expert Java and Spring Boot experience building modular, testable enterprise services.
- Strong knowledge of APIs, distributed systems, modular architecture, data design, scalability, resilience, and observability.
- Experience with Spring Modulith, jMolecule, ArchUnit, domain-driven design, events, asynchronous patterns, CQRS, or event sourcing.
- Deep expertise in relational databases and managed RDS platforms, including PostgreSQL and cloud-native variants.
- Strong understanding of transactional stores, document databases, search engines, vector stores, object storage, and event or streaming data layers.
- Expertise in schema design, query tuning, indexing, partitioning, replication, high availability, disaster recovery, data residency, transaction consistency, and backup and restore.
- Hands-on experience with vector databases and RAG patterns, including embeddings, chunking, indexing, retrieval, and grounding AI outputs in trusted enterprise data.
- Experience applying spec-driven development, prompt engineering, AI agents, and MCP-compatible tooling to engineering workflows.
- Ability to mentor engineers, communicate complex technical topics clearly, operate autonomously, and lead cross-team improvement initiatives.
