Responsibilities
- Define and evolve target software and solution architectures in alignment with business goals and existing systems.
- Design and guide cloud architecture and overall IT system architecture for scalability, security, and reliability.
- Translate stakeholder and product requirements into robust architectural solutions across business and engineering teams.
- Design and govern microservices architectures and guide system integrations across complex environments.
- Collaborate with client architects and engineering teams on architectural standards and decisions.
- Maintain architectural documentation, including design decisions and system landscapes.
- Establish best practices for architecture, code quality, testing, and deployment throughout the software lifecycle.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Around 10 years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on architecture and system design.
- Proven expertise in software, cloud, IT system, microservices, and solution architecture.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native and distributed-systems design principles.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ, and build or automation tools such as Maven.
- Solid experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
- Familiarity with testing strategies and automation.
- Strong English and German communication skills and the ability to bridge business and engineering teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage complex architectural challenges efficiently.
