Base Salary

$150k - $175k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end technical solutions and detailed architectures for retirement and private wealth initiatives.
  • Design and implement cross-system business process automation and integrations using API-based, event-driven, batch/ETL, message-queue, and file-based approaches.
  • Create integration diagrams, data flow maps, sequence diagrams, interface specifications, and other solution design artifacts.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, delivery teams, business SMEs, executives, and implementation partners to evaluate tradeoffs and refine designs.
  • Evaluate cloud services, vendor tools, and platforms for fit, risks, constraints, and design implications.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance during build and test phases and resolve design issues.
  • Support technology strategy, multi-year IT roadmaps, feasibility assessments, effort estimates, and prioritization discussions.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, consolidate, modernize, and eliminate redundant or brittle integration points.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of technical experience in solution architecture, integration design, or technical delivery, including hands-on design and implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more wealth or retirement industry platforms such as Orion, Broadridge/FI 360, Evestnet, trading platforms, custodial platforms, or RIA-related tools is strongly preferred.
  • Experience and/or certifications with a major cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Relevant certifications such as TOGAF or a cloud solutions architect credential are nice-to-have.
  • Ability to work with APIs, data schemas, system logs, and integration configurations while communicating designs to nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Experience building relationships with business SMEs and leaders and translating business strategy into technical designs.
  • Confidence presenting technical recommendations, accepting critical feedback, and refining designs.
  • Experience in fast-paced agile delivery environments supporting multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with architects, product owners, delivery teams, and implementation partners.
  • Working knowledge of retirement and wealth management operations, advisor workflows, and industry data standards.
