Responsibilities
- Contribute to shared platform architecture and codebases across Fintech Enablement applications.
- Design and develop new and existing full-stack or backend Java applications in cloud-based, highly available architectures.
- Help adopt modern engineering practices and design principles across the team.
- Engage business sponsors and stakeholders to implement requirements within agreed timelines.
- Partner with QA to deliver quality solutions to end users.
- Provide Level 3 support.
- Build development backlogs, distribute and prioritize tasks, and drive delivery across the team.
Requirements
- Proven ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while applying critical judgment for responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
- Experience with Core Java, Java functional libraries such as Vavr, and database technologies including SQL, Hibernate, and NoSQL.
- Practical experience with Gradle or Maven, Git, TeamCity or Jenkins, and Unix.
- Knowledge of software design and architectural patterns.
- Understanding of build, deployment, release, and support processes, including CI/CD and incident, problem, and change management.
- Experience with cloud-based, distributed, highly available, and fault-tolerant applications is a plus.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud is an advantage.
- Experience building large-scale, highly available REST APIs in Java is a plus.
