Responsibilities
- Design systems that reduce complexity across core infrastructure.
- Scale reliable backend services for growing platform demands.
- Ship production code consistently and improve architecture, code quality, and engineering practices.
- Build and maintain billing, energy-market communication, accounting ledger, and other core platform services.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building and shipping reliable backend infrastructure in production environments.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, including asynchronous programming patterns.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and ORM-based data access; Drizzle experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Next.js backend services, including API routes or server components.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and scalable, maintainable core services.
- Experience integrating Stripe payments and billing flows.
- Formal degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science fundamentals.
- Evidence of technical exceptionality, such as standout open source work, elite competition results, research contributions, or founding experience.
- Broad application-building experience rather than a narrowly specialized background.
- German fluency at C1 level or above.
- Comfort working as a hands-on individual contributor in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
Benefits
- Salary range of 80,000 to 120,000 EUR annually.
