Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain complex, scalable, and performant cloud-native microservices for SAP's Order Management platform.
- Build and maintain AI-enabled features and services using LLM integration, prompt management, basic RAG workflows, and response validation.
- Develop evaluation and benchmarking pipelines to measure AI output quality and system performance.
- Monitor application health, latency, throughput, performance, and reliability, and proactively improve system efficiency.
- Troubleshoot production issues across application, integration, and infrastructure layers, conduct root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows using SAP BTP, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions.
- Participate in sprint refinement, development, code reviews, deployment, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Use, review, validate, test, and improve code generated by AI-assisted development tools across the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, product managers, data teams, platform teams, and AI teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2-5 years of professional software development experience.
- Professional experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools across design, coding, testing, and observability.
- Strong proficiency in Java and experience with REST API design, event-driven APIs, and asynchronous messaging such as Kafka.
- Experience with Spring Boot, microservices architecture, cloud design patterns, software engineering fundamentals, and clean code.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling such as Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD.
- Working knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience building and operating cloud-based microservices, debugging production systems, and applying observability, monitoring, performance tuning, logging, metrics, or tracing.
- Ability to work collaboratively across distributed, cross-functional teams in an agile or scrum environment.
- Preferred knowledge of SAP BTP, Azure, observability and monitoring tools, and order management concepts such as order capture, fulfillment, ATP, and returns.
