Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain complex, scalable, and performant cloud-native microservices for SAP’s Order Management platform.
- Build AI-enabled application features, including LLM integrations, prompt management, basic RAG workflows, response validation, and AI output evaluation pipelines.
- Monitor application health, latency, throughput, reliability, and system efficiency, and implement performance and stability improvements.
- Troubleshoot production issues across application, integration, and infrastructure layers, contribute to root cause analysis, and deliver permanent fixes.
- Participate in requirements refinement, code reviews, full sprint cycles, deployment, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows using SAP BTP, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and related DevOps tooling.
- Use and critically review AI-powered development tools across requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–5 years of professional software development experience.
- Professional experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools across the software development lifecycle.
- Strong proficiency in Java; Spring Boot experience is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with REST API design, event-driven APIs, asynchronous messaging such as Kafka, and cloud-based microservices.
- Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, microservices architecture, cloud design patterns, clean code, CI/CD, testing, observability, and production troubleshooting.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD.
- Working knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with LLM workflows, prompt design, basic RAG patterns, AI service integration, monitoring, performance tuning, logging, metrics, and tracing.
- Knowledge of SAP BTP and Azure is preferred.
- Knowledge of order management concepts such as order capture, fulfillment, available-to-promise, and returns is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate across distributed, cross-functional teams in an agile or scrum environment.
