Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud-native microservices for SAP’s Order Management platform.
- Build AI-enabled features and services using LLM integration, prompt management, basic RAG workflows, and response validation.
- Develop evaluation and benchmarking pipelines for AI output quality and system performance.
- Monitor application health, latency, throughput, reliability, and system efficiency, and implement improvements.
- Troubleshoot production issues across application, integration, and infrastructure layers and drive root-cause analysis and permanent fixes.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, automated build and test processes, and operational improvements.
- Participate in sprint refinement, development, code reviews, deployment, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Use, review, validate, test, and improve AI-generated code throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, product managers, platform teams, data teams, and AI teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–5 years of professional software development experience.
- Professional experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools across the software development lifecycle.
- Strong proficiency in Java; Spring Boot experience is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with REST API design, event-driven APIs, and asynchronous messaging such as Kafka.
- Experience building and operating cloud-based microservices and knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems, cloud design patterns, and clean code.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling such as Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar.
- Working knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with testing, validation, troubleshooting, observability, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Ability to work effectively in agile/scrum environments and across distributed, cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of OMS concepts such as order capture, fulfillment, ATP, and returns is a plus.
- Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools and cloud platforms such as SAP BTP and Azure is a plus.
