Responsibilities
- Guide development of Client & Account/SSI On-boarding and related reference data systems.
- Design, develop, roll out, and significantly enhance software solutions.
- Develop cloud-native applications and work with container technologies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior staff members.
- Work with distributed global teams across the full software development lifecycle.
- Maintain quality and ownership of software deliveries in a fast-paced business environment.
Requirements
- 10+ years of strong software development experience using multiple technologies.
- Strong Core Java expertise, including hands-on multithreaded programming and microservices experience.
- Experience with Spring, Hibernate, JUnit, Sybase, SQL/MSSQL, Autosys, Maven, and Jenkins.
- Knowledge of messaging interfaces and formats including JSON, XML, and DTD.
- Experience with cloud development, Linux/Unix environments, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge and practical use of design patterns, rule engines such as DROOLS, Angular or React, and BPM tools.
- Understanding of cloud-native application design, client onboarding lifecycle, reference data concepts, and data modeling.
- Experience working in global, distributed teams and rapidly changing business environments.
- Strong communication, teamwork, ownership, and software quality orientation.
Benefits
- New York location.
- Pay range of $800-$950 per day at commencement of employment.
- Contract for services through a third party; successful candidates will not be employed by or have an employment relationship with Nomura.
