Responsibilities
- Write high-quality, performant backend code primarily in Go.
- Implement new microservices and help manage and migrate legacy services.
- Translate requirements into technical designs with product managers, designers, and data scientists.
- Optimize systems for responsiveness, latency, reliability, and heavy-load performance.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building and maintaining scalable backend services, or 5 or more years for senior-level candidates.
- Experience with Go or the ability to interview in another strongest programming language such as Python, C++, Java, or Ruby.
- In-depth knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- At least 1 year of hands-on mapping-related experience, including noisy geospatial data, map matching, road network graphs, or routing algorithms.
- Preferred qualifications include routing engine experience with OSRM, C++ proficiency, and familiarity with OpenStreetMap or other open geospatial datasets.
- Preferred experience includes practical intuition for navigation systems, GPS drift, rerouting, missed turns, and real-world edge cases.
